The Company
New.Fa.Dem., within the Italian pharmaceutical panorama, is an innovative company, attentive to market changes, with solid and deep roots. Its history begins in Naples in the last century when, in 1939, the production of castor oil began in the De Meo Pharmaceutical Laboratory. Today New.Fa.Dem., building on its history, is increasingly committed to developing products to improve people’s health and well-being.
Production
The production plant is spread over 3000 m2 and has within it professionals and technicians qualified in scientific research and development who make use of cutting-edge machinery to guarantee high production and quality standards. With a view to excellence, the Company wanted an internal QC laboratory. with sophisticated equipment to ensure safe, effective and quality medicines and cosmetics for the consumer.
International Business
In recent years, New.Fa.Dem., thanks to the skills acquired in almost eighty years of activity, has aimed at implementing its own internationalization strategy, entering into commercial agreements that have allowed it to lay solid foundations for development also in other countries with strong growth potential.
Today New.Fa.Dem., as well as in Italy, is an established company in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa and is preparing to increase its presence abroad with new and profitable collaborations in emerging or expanding markets.

The wealth of scientific and technological knowledge and continuous updating are the strong point of New.Fa.Dem. which ambitiously looks to the future and aims for internationalisation. In its laboratories, the search for new formulations is fundamental and indispensable for a constantly evolving sector, such as the pharmaceutical one. Equal importance is given to the development of new technologies to have high quality standards and good levels of efficiency in production processes.
Authorized by AIFA, it is able to produce the following pharmaceutical forms at its own factory both under its own brand and on behalf of third parties: ointments, ointments, gels, liquids, powders and suppositories. It is also able to produce cosmetics and medical devices in the same forms.

Research and Development
For a pharmaceutical company that produces drugs, medical devices and cosmetics, like New.Fa.Dem. srl, the development of new products and new production techniques is a fundamental mission. The ability to develop innovations and manage products are necessary conditions to guarantee success in a lively and constantly changing market where tastes, customer preferences, technology, environmental variables and competition are decisive.
Precisely for this reason the R&D team is always looking for new functional, vegetal and biotechnological ingredients capable of characterizing and making our formulations unique, always looking for new products on the market to develop and patent.
Each product goes through a life cycle: it is born, it goes through different research phases that follow the development of the desired or requested pharmaceutical form. The New.Fa.Dem research and development department also takes care of completing the regulatory stages of a finished product; may include the procedures for the drug, the drafting of the cosmetic PIF and the compilation of technical files relating to medical devices, according to directive EEC/93/42 and subsequent updates
New.Fa.dem. offers the possibility of creating formulations suited to the needs of its customers. It has a team dedicated to the research and development of pharmaceutical forms such as creams, ointments, gels, solutions, powders and suppositories.
The research and development laboratory is always ready to face new challenges and satisfy customer requests, even the most demanding, thanks to an accurate formulation study followed by rigorous chemical-physical and microbiological stability tests. The objective of third-party services is to transform the customer’s idea into a finished product that positions itself successfully on the market.

Quality Control
The “Quality Control” laboratory works according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines and ISO standards, in order to ensure compliance and maximum quality. All the analyzes required according to the Pharmacopoeia are carried out, step by step, in order to guarantee their conformity and characteristics, in particular:
- Chemical-physical tests on raw materials and finished products;
- Microbiological tests on raw materials, finished products, user samples;
- Packaging material testing;
- Stability studies in compliance with the ICH guidelines
